T-E CLC: A conceptual model towards creative learning community

As educational institutions, engineering schools strive to continue improving student's outcome. Besides, universities also need to prepare their students with creativity. It is expected that, engineering students not only have hard skills of their majors, but they also have creative way of thinking to solve complex engineering problems in the future. Therefore engineering schools need to set up their teaching and learning approaches in order to deliver graduates with the needed outcomes and skills. This research proposed a conceptual model of teaching and learning for engineering schools that is called as T-E CLC. The model integrated creative thinking skills, learning community, engagement theory and factors of technology use in teaching and learning for engineering schools. T-E CLC model proposed creative learning community concept to be implemented in engineering schools by regarding four elements and four phases of implementation.
