Some Considerations About the Frequency Dependence of the Characteristic Impedance of Uniform Microstrips

Various possible definitions of characteristic impedance are derived from two different microstrip models obtaining similar results. It is shown that slightly different definitions yield strongly different behavior versus frequency.
