The flora of Kirmizi Tuzla (Karaçoban, Erzurum/Turkey) and Bahçe Tuzlasi (Malazgirt, Mu /Turkey) and their environment

This research was carried out in 2006 and 2007 in o rder to determine the flora of Kirmizi Tuzla (Karacoban/Erzurum) and Bahce Tuzlasi (Malazgirt/Mu � ) and their environs. In the area, 1056 taxa belong ing to 75 families, and 374 genera were determined. Of all the collected specimens, 70 taxa are new rec ords for B9 square; four taxa belong to Cryptogamae a nd 1052 taxa belong to Phanerogamae. A total of 101 (% 9.56) endemic species were collec ted from the area. The distributions of the endemic and rare taxa according to the red data is a follows: 2 taxa in c ritically "CR", 8 taxa in endangered "EN", 30 taxa i n vulnerable "VU", 16 taxa in near threatened "NT", 63 taxa in least concern "LC" and 2 taxa ( Inula discoidea Boiss. and Cicuta virosa L.) in data deficient "DD". It has been categorised Inula discoidea Boiss. as VU instead of DD. The largest families are Asteraceae (170), Brassicaceae (97), Fabaceae (84). The largest genera are Astragalus , Centaurea and Silene .
