Analysis of Validity and Practicality of ROAR (Read, Observe, Auditory, Review) Learning Model

ROAR learning model is a learning model which gives wide chance to develop concept, the existing idea become new concept. The concept is built through direct observation because during learning process the teacher examples of reality so that the students will be more critical with the concept of reality, so that eventually can relate the lesson based on reality concept they build. This integration aims that the concepts are related so that the essence of learning process can be achieved. This study is a development of (R&D) which aims to develop learning model which is expected to be beneficial in improving students’ concept understanding especially for social science at 8th grade of Junior High School. The result of experts’ and professionals’ validity analysis and it was obtained the revision result in a form of four product components of learning model, those are(a) learning model elements (7,6), (b) Lesson plan (58), (c) worksheet (61,50), and d Testing Instrument (89,8) therefore the result of validity test shows those four components with highly valid criteria so that the result of learning model development is appropriate and it is ready to be implemented. For practicality test of learning model was determined by the data of teachers’ response and students’ response it was obtained teachers’ practicality (79,5) and also students’ response (84,26) was categorized as  very practical. Therefore ROAR learning model user and all supporting system has met the criteria of valid and practical of which ready to be implemented in class in testing the effectiveness of developed learning model.
