EFICIÊNCIA DA SELEÇÃO PRECOCE EM CLONES DE Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill ex Maiden x Eucalyptus urophylla S. T. Blake

This research aimed to estimate the early selection efficiency in clones of Eucalyptus “urograndis”. So, a clonal test of Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill ex Maiden x Eucalyptus urophylla S. T. Blake located in the city of Telêmaco Borba, PR, was evaluated. The diameter at breast height – DBH (centimeters) and height – H (meters) were measured at three and nine and a half years of age. The experiment was a randomized block design with 68 treatments (Clones), four of which were the control (operational material). The gains were estimated using the genotypic value obtained by BLUPs at selection intensities of 10% and 30%. The average heritability of clones ( 2 ĉ h ) for the characteristics were similar (0.88 e 0.91 for DBH and 0.72 e 0.89 for H at three and nine and a half years of age, respectively) at the two evaluated ages and greater than broad sense heritability ( 2 ˆg h ). ______ 1Recebido para análise em 24.06.2017.
