Guest editorial: Advances in RFID technology

This special issue aims at presenting the latest de-velopments, trends, and research solutions for RFIDtechnology, which received an enthusiastic response.There were 40 submissions, including six extended fromthe best papers of IWRT2008 (the 2nd InternationalWorkshop on RFID Technology, Barcelona, Spain),AiR2008 (the First International Workshop on Ad-vances in RFID, Xi’an, China), and Industrial Track ofSUTC2008 (IEEE International Conference on SensorNetworks, Ubiquitous, and Trustworthy Computing,Taichung, Taiwan).
