Metodología de Proyectos Formativos: Estudio de Caso en un Curso de Fundamentos de Programación

The competence socioformative approach incorporates the fundamental principles of project-based learning and proposes the formative project methodology for the formation and evaluation of competences. The formative projects consist of articulated activities oriented to interpret, argument, and solve context problems where the definition of criteria, the delivery of evidence, and the definition of an evaluation system during different stages of the formation process is contemplated. The results of an experience with the Civil Engineering and Architecture programs of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana based in Monteria, in which the formative project methodology was implemented in a course in computer programming fundamentals, are presented in this article. The results showed that these students understand the competences, activities and stages of a formative project. They also consider that the formative projects contribute to the development of the competences defined in the course. Besides, the technological support that allowed the structuring and implementation of the programming fundamentals course within the Learning Management System, Moodle, is presented in this paper. The course design is based on the pedagogical and methodological guidelines of the Socioformative approach
