19세기 유럽의 공장형성에 따른 공간합리화와 도시공간변화에 관한 연구

This study is to examine the formation of factories and their influence in the 19 th century Europe. The purpose is to understand architecture in the 19 th century as the origin of the modern architecture in the 20 th century, and to reveal the characters of modern architecture through factories in the 19 th century. Factories in the 19 th century are one of the leading architectural themes in that age. Having a vast influence on entire Europe, they are new modern institutions emerging with new modern technologies and cultures. This study analysis factories through 19 th century's technologies and cities which are fundamental changed in the 19 th century Europe. As a result, factories produced rationality and system on the space, and produced many methods on the cities. That Methods were produced in the process of solving the factories and factory towns' problems which were heterotopian circumstances, and were formed by several practices which were related to utopian viewpoint. The rationality of space and methods of city planning were major influence on the 20 th century's architectures and cities. Therefore, the modern institutions in the 19 th century will be studied as to reveal the origin of the modern architecture.
