Crystal structure of dibromodiethylbis(thiazole)tin(IV), SnBr2(C2H5)2(NCHSCHCH)2

Source of material: The compound was prepared by reacting SnBr2Et2 with thiazole in CH2CI2, as reported in ref. 1. The tin a tom lies on a centre of symmetry. The terminal carbon atoms of the ethyl groups are clearly distributed on two different positions with similar population parameters. Hydrogen atoms of these groups were not introduced. Relevant structural parameters compare well with those determined for SnCl2Ph2(thiazole)2 (see ref. 1).
