Jeju Island in Korea has drawn more attention as a place for tourism and a venue for conferences and business meetings recently. However, the lack of effective promotion materials has been one of main issues in publicizing Jeju internationally. Furthermore, to attract more people by satisfying their various needs, more customized and up-to-date information should be easily available for each visitor. In this paper, we present an online blue marble game, i.e., a sort of monopoly variation, based on Jeju's natural and cultural content including up-to-date event information. For each game play, new site information is dynamically loaded so that players can play with up-to-date information on different sites. Our proposed game system is designed and implemented in three separate layers; user interface in client layer, main game program in server layer, and site/event information data in database layer. With this separation, site/event information can be maintained by content providers with no (or minimum) impact on other two layers and can be dynamically loaded to the game for each play; game user interface can also be easily updated for future extensions.
