A metal-concrete cask for storing and transporting the spent fuel of RMBK reactors

A cask was developed for storing and transporting the spent fuel of a nuclear power station with RBMK reactors. Nuclear and radiation safety has been appraised, and an analysis of the thermal state and the strength of the cask under normal and emergency conditions has been made. It is shown that the cask complies with the requirements of international and Russian regulations imposed on casks for storing and transporting spent nuclear fuel.
