A robotic control of an ultrasound-laser structure

The device according to the invention consists of the combination of a laser inspection head (12) having a source emitting a laser beam (15) scanned along a defined axis (16, 17) and a manipulator robot (13 ) ensuring the displacement and the orientation in the workpiece area (14) whose structure is to be inspected. The inspection head (12) and the manipulator robot (13) are configured and arranged vis-a-vis one another in such a way that the inspection head (12) occupying a fixed position, the manipulator robot (13) can move the part to be inspected (14) facing the inspection head (12), such that the scanning of the laser beam (15) combined with the movement of the piece in a direction perpendicular to the scanning direction makes it possible to inspect the entire surface of the workpiece (14). In a particular configuration, the robot manipulator is used to vary the orientation of the workpiece (14) relative to the direction of the laser beam (15) so as to have an optimal illumination of the room.
