The Applications of the Modularization of the Mould's Surface Structure for Vehicle Cover Panels

This paper studies the applications of the modularization of the mould’s surface structure for vehicle cover panels. The discrete point data of automobile panel are first fitted by bicubic B-spline surface, then according to the surface, a simple and precise method is presented for calculating the position of pressing-poles of discrete metal forming machine. Finally this method is verified by an example of mould’s manufacture for some vehicle cover panel.
