Dispute resolution and e-government

Dispute resolution is a core governmental activity and one that occurs not only in courts but in almost all administrative and regulatory agencies. At times, a government agency will be a party to a dispute and at other times the agency will attempt to resolve conflicts between citizens, businesses or groups. As more governmental processes go online, there is a clear need for dispute resolution processes and procedures that are also online and that are transparent, efficient and effective. This panel will explore current progress in government-based online dispute resolution.
