As grid computing gains support and popularity, the needs grow for studying computer science and technology problems arising from grid systems and applications. In this talk, the speaker will present an organization of grid computing problems into a metaphor of man-computer society, and pose several computer science questions. He will then highlight a computer systems approach used by the Vega Grid research team at Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This approach helps the Vega Grid team understand grid computing machine models, grid address space, grid subject space, and grid programming models, as well as generate promising research results.
