New Type of the Test Stand for Surfaces and Lubricant Tribological Properties Test

The paper presents a new type of test stand developed for surfaces and lubricants tribological properties testing. The utilized method, the test stand construction, principles of its operation and its capabilities are described in comparison to the standardized testing methods features and commercially available tribometers. In particular, the range of the input parameters (such as: relative speed between surfaces of the samples, surface pressure, test duration, types of material for tribological pairs, types of friction) and the results to be obtained during tests on the described stand (such as friction coefficient, temperature) are presented. Furthermore, metrological parameters of the test stand as well as its software responsible for the control of the measurement process and recording of its result are described. Based on tests carried out on the stand exemplary results and their interpretation are shown.
