Multifunction ECDIS for the emergence condition like a breakdown of navigational equipments

The authors develop a PC based ECDIS to improve safety at sea, save fuel and time during a voyage and to make the mariner's work more efficient and comfortable in ship navigation. They propose the auto-navigation system with multifunction ECDIS having various functions to monitor navigational equipment and to substitute a broken main navigational equipment such as CIS and RADAR/ARPA, automatically. The proposed ECDIS has the function as DB and network server, additionally.
