Method for transmitting a data at handoff area in time division multiplexing access type

A TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) data transmission method in a handoff area is provided to minimize a drop in data transmission or transmission delay in performing handoff by utilizing a TDMA section for downlink data transmission in the case of handoff in a TDMA cellular mobile communication system. A TDMA data transmission method in a handoff area is composed of a downlink sub data section, an uplink sub data section, and a guard section. The downlink sub data section consists of a BS(Base Station)/frame information section, a TDM transmission data section, and a TDMA transmission data section. The uplink sub data section comprises a contention section and an uplink transmission section. The TDMA transmission data section, as a downlink burst section generated by inserting a preamble into the downlink Tx data of each BS, is provided to acquire synchronization through individual preambles, even though initial synchronization with a BS gets lost, and to restore downlink data.
