Organizing digital files in an electronic device

A method for managing files in a mobile terminal (10), said terminal (10) is adapted to a plurality of files and a mapping between at least one file location and each storing a number input, the method comprising: - displaying a plurality of files from the plurality of files stored in the form of a file list on a display unit (130) of the mobile terminal (10); - receiving a first user input for selecting at least one of the displayed on the display unit (130) files; - receiving a second user input in the form of a number input through a number key, or a touch sensitive screen (122); and - adding the selected at least one on the display unit (130) to that file location file, which is assigned to the digit input of the second user input.
