Parameter analysis of lift component in injection molding

In injection molding process, not only need a good product design, but also mold design, material properties, as well as the appropriate process parameters are all important. Conventional process parameters in plastic injection molding usually relied on accumulated experiences by trial and error method. To decide a better parameter often wastes more time and money before. Through computer aided engineering analysis (CAE), defects can be improved in manufacture of molds in advance. Both time and cost can be decreased in design procedure, molding test, and machining process. In this study, design of the stacker panel warpage in lift was mainly discussed to obtained an appropriate deformation for injection molding process. The runner system design is of great importance to a successful injection molding process. According to using one-point pouring and two-point pouring separately, both different methods of cooling, traditional waterways and profiled water guides wee compared. Mold flow analysis software (Moldex 3D) was adapted to analyze the actual situation of injection molding. Simulation results in different pouring situations, different waterway design, and different composition containing of glass fiber (33% and 43%) were evaluated. The shrinkage was also studied for molding, the uneven cooling and deformation problems were also discussed for resolving contortion condition of product.
