The invention discloses a burning through point forecasting method and system; the burning through point forecasting method is characterized by comprising the step of: in order to correspond to a mixture on a trolley of a sintering machine, respectively setting data tracking queues to which N presetting temperatures correspond, wherein N is an integral number being greater than 1; the burning through point forecasting method also comprises the following steps of: detecting to obtain a temperature curve of sintering waste gas of the current sintering machine, and updating the data tracking queues to which the N presetting temperatures correspond according to the obtained temperature curve of the waste gas; selecting one data tracking queue from the updated data tracking queues to serve as the effective data tracking queue; and working out a predicted value PBTP-PRE of the burning through point of the mixture in a rising region according to the effective data tracking queue, wherein the rising region refers to the rising region to which the preset temperature value of the effective data tracking queue belongs. The burning through point forecasting method can increase the accuracy of burning through point forecasting.
