Konzepte und Methoden der sozialwissenschaftlichen Netzwerkanalyse: Eine aktuelle Übersicht

Zusammenfassung Unter der Bezeichnung „Netzwerkanalyse“ hat sich im Verlaufe der letzten Jahrzehnte ein eigentliches Forschungsparadigma herausgebildet, das in erster Linie durch seinen großen Vorrat an analytischen Konzepten und Methoden zur Untersuchung von relationalen - in Abgrenzung zu attributiven - Daten beeindruckt. Ziel des vorliegenden Beitrages ist es, einen Überblick über verschiedene methodische Probleme und Lösungsansätze innerhalb der sozialwissenschaftlichen Netzwerkanalyse zu vermitteln. Neben bekannteren, deskriptiv-analytischen Strategien der Datenreduktion werden neuere Ansätze vorgestellt, die auch inferenzstatistische Aussagen ermöglichen und es insbesondere erlauben, attributive und relationale Daten simultan zu analysieren. Abschließend werden noch einige praktische Belange erörtert, wie z. B. weiterführende Literatur oder verfügbare Software.
