Urban Straight Road Extraction from High-Resolution Remote Sensing Image Based on Hough Transform

According to the urban straight road character of high-resolution remote sensing image,this paper presents an approach to extract road network.Based on the road network outline from image segmentation,hough transform is used to detect the straight lines,which contain the road information.Judging the straight line whether it is road or not,and get the road sections.After trimming and connection the road sections the road network is formed,thus the road extraction is completed.Experiment results show that this approach is efficient for extracting urban straight road from high-resolution remote sensing image.
