Our place in the world

At the start of this new volume of the Australasian Journal on Ageing (AJA), I wonder how we can better our last 12 months: 2013 was all good news: increasing impact factor (now at 0.94), increasing submissions (up 29% from 2012), and a Special Issue to celebrate 30 years in publication. There are a couple of important pieces of work for 2014, though: raising the profile of AJA nationally and internationally, and reducing our backlog.
