Analysis of shock dynamics on diesel engine crank and connecting rod mechanism

Two shock dynamics simulation models was established respectively by the means of software: MSC.DYTRAN and MSC.ADAMS.The models refer to crankshaft,piston-connecting rod, piston and flywheel. They are very effective for simulating the inertial force, the cylinder pressure and the elasticity of the supports, and the effects of the flexibility of crankshaft on the engine.Based on Germanic BV043/73 specifications,an analysis of the shock response of the crank and connecting rod mechanism was analyzed, especially the shock response tendency of the crankshaft and piston-connecting rod.Compared with the results gained by using two kinds of simulation software, they are in good agreement and the simulation results are credible.
