Discovery and Analysis of the World's Research Collections: JSTOR and Summon Under the Hood

Libraries spend considerable amounts of money acquiring Internet resources and then need to encourage the use of those products within their communities. A number of companies have put forth new discovery tools to help patrons find and use online resources available through libraries. Laura Robinson of Serials Solutions and Ron Snyder of ITHAKA described developments in online discovery for two such tools—Summon and JSTOR.
