Changes in the microbial communities during co-composting of digestates

Highlights • Highest degradation rates in compost in first 14 days.• Similar microbial communities in digestate and screened compost samples.• Fewer and lower signals in all starting materials than in day 20, 34 and 63 composts.• Compost microbial communities changed over 63 day composting process.
