Visual Monitoring-Based Railway Grade Crossing Surveillance System

As the development of the rural and urban economy, the number of the motor vehicles has been skyrocketing. In the condition of increasingly enhancing locomotive speed nowadays, railway crossing security is becoming a bottleneck to restrict the railway transportation ability. This study introduces the basic modules which constitute the railway crossing surveillance and warning system, formulates the inspection method basing image processing about railway crossing obstacle, elaborates the particular procedure and algorithm about the system, offers and analyzes the results of the experiment basing the algorithm.
