User Interface Using Arm Motion for Consumer Device

This paper describes a new user interface for consumer devices. The authors propose a user interface for consumer devices which detects the movement of an acceleration sensor attached to an arm. In experiments, gestures of the arm were detected, and a consumer device was operated following these movements. The experimental results verified that the proposed method is effective.
