By dynamically reformatting data generated by statisticians in the Ross-Ade press box, e-Stadium provides fans an array of real-time information that is hyperlinked to players' and coaches' biographical information. Besides up-to-the-minute statistics and play-by-play, fans will find diversions that include a food locator, trivia questions, the history of the Boilermakers, weather reports, and the latest updates of other games around the country. The e-Stadium project is a large, high-profile, interdisciplinary effort consisting of a student led ideation/prototyping group and a faculty and staff implementation team. Students develop features for each season during their normal class environment at Purdue, thus keeping the application fresh and appealing to fans. Faculty members advise the students and serve on the implementation team consisting of Information Technology at Purdue (ITaP), the Center for Wireless Systems and Applications (CWSA), Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics, Electrical and Computer Engineering students, and Computer Graphics Technology students.
