TerraSAR-X CALIBRATION GROUND EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS SPECIFICATION

Within the project TerraSAR-X different types of calibration targets are required. Due to the high demands on the calibration, new calibration devices must be developed. Mechanical point targets like trihedral corner reflectors (CR) as well as electronic devices like ground receivers and polarimetric active radar calibrators (PARC or transponder) shall be deployed. This document summarises the description and the scope of the task for developing and manufacturing new electronic calibration devices. It includes specification requirements of trihedral corner reflectors. The document does not describe the detailed design of calibration targets.
