Self similar solutions for the flow and heat transfer of Powell-Eyring fluid over a moving surface in a parallel free stream

Abstract This paper deals with the boundary layer flow and heat transfer of Powell-Eyring fluid over a continuously moving permeable surface in a parallel free stream. The governing boundary layer equations are transformed to self similar nonlinear ordinary differential equations using scaling group of transformations. Numerical results of the resulting equations are obtained using the Keller-box method. The effects of various governing parameters on the flow field are discussed and analyzed. A comparison is made with the existing literature.
