System capacity analysis in a shared spectrum TD-SCDMA hybrid femtocell-macrocell networks

Femtocell technology is used in indoor environment to deal with insufficient macro cell coverage problem. In this paper the influence of femtocells sharing the same spectrum with macro cells in several interference scenarios is analyzed by static system level simulation. The capacity loss and the carrier to interference ratio (CIR) are considered as the performance indicators. Simulations and numerical results for different densities and locations of femtocells in macro cells are both described for the uplink and the downlink.
