CIMOSA model creation and execution for a casting process and a manufacturing cell

Abstract The main benefit of CIMOSA is the on-line execution of enterprise models by its Integrating Infrastructure. After eight years of paper work, CIMOSA has achieved its first demonstration of model execution through the rapid prototyping environment called McCIM. McCIM has been developed in the scope of the Esprit Project VOICE. The project consortium uses McCIM to validate and improve CIMOSA architectural concepts and in particular to rapid prototype monitoring applications for its industrial partners.
