Cellular Computational Networks for Distributed Prediction of Active Power Flow in Power Systems under Contingency

In this study, Cellular Computational Networks (CCNs) are used for distributed prediction of active power flows in a power system. A prediction correction algorithm is applied locally with the CCNs to improve the accuracy of the distributed prediction. In order to show the advantages of the proposed method, both actual system operating state and single line contingency are tested using CCN based active power flow distributed prediction model. The distributed prediction model is illustrated for different time steps. Results show that the CCN based distributed prediction model can predict the active power flow of transmission line with sufficient accuracy under both normal system operation and contingencies.
