Quasi-periodic solutions calculated with the simple shooting technique

Abstract A shooting-type numerical method for calculating quasi-periodic solutions in a multiexcited system by using derivatives and with an improved interpolation technique is presented. Three examples of ordinary differential equations and iterative maps show the efficiency of the new algorithm. This algorithm can also be effectively applied to a periodic system.
