Study on anti-slip regulation of quarter automobile based on PID control

A PID control algorithm for Anti-slip Regulation of quarter automobile with slip ratio as the control object has been presented on butt surface. Drive simulation model of quarter automobile, butt surface model and PID control strategy model are established by the MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation tests of butt surface with PID control slip ratio are designed to gain curve change of vehicle speed, driving wheel velocity and slip ratio on different adhesion coefficient surface. The graph proves that the PID control reduces jumpiness range of driving wheel velocity. Curtailment rate of slip ratio error is 98.72%~85.48%. Curtailment rate of starting drive distance is 33.54%. Curtailment rate of starting drive time is 28.85%. Slip ratio is changing in the best predetermine range. The results show that the ASR system can improve starting drive efficiency, automobile tractive ability, maneuverability and stability by the PID control.
