A Model of Design Environments to Support Collaborative Design Management

Nowadays the design process of a product involves the creation of working groups and the control of collaborative work. Existing tools, which help the management of processes, are non-adapted since they do not integrate multiple views representation in the case of a collaborative work. They are also often focused on objects representation without to pay attention on theirs functional or behavioural aspects for instance. This paper presents design environment management which permits to follow and to manage collaborative design process. It integrates the product, process and organisation dimensions. An IT-application is developed through the IPPOP project in order to help actors in decision-making for design process management.
