Performance Characteristics of High-Frequency Bridge Inverters for Induction Heating

Experimental operating characteristics of volage- and current-source bridge inverters meant for induction heating are presented and are compared with the theoretical results. Limitations of the theoretical analysis are discussed. A control circuit is presented which ensures reliable operation of the inverter under varying L, R and Q of the load during heating of the work piece.
