Abstract The Space Energetics and Environment Laboratory (SEEL) is a Space Station Experiment dedicated to the technological preparation and environmental impact assessment for the future energy exploitation in space. The Solar Power Satellite (SPS) is its typical embodiment. The latest results of preliminary tests, both in space and on the ground, and conceptual studies are reviewed.
