Study on the Denial Distance of MFT Jamming against CFAR Detection Radars

The concept of denial distance of MFT(Multi-False-Target) jamming is put forward for evaluation of the effect of MFT jamming against CFAR(Constant False Alarm Rate) detection radars.Following analysis of the detection threshold of CFAR detection under MFT jamming of different intensity based on the principle of CFAR detection,the principle of denial distance of MFT jamming is introduced and the formula of denial distance of MFT jamming at given density is derived.Analysis of the relationship between denial distance and MFT density shows that MFT density is not in direct proportion to denial distance at a constant jamming power.Therefore,the main effective factor of denial distance is the power of jammer and it is not possible to increase denial distance by increasing only MFT density.
