Curves and Singularities

The author shows how to set up algorithms for a wide range of topics in numerical mathematics, geometry, and probability. He then goes on to show how a program can be written to solve the problem. BASIC is used throughout as this is widely used in schools, and of course, is available on micro-computers. I found the book thoroughly fascinating. If you teach either computing or mathematics, you will find much of interest; and if you don't, you'll still want to look at the book.
