The role of confirmatory factor analysis in cross-cultural research

Abstract Some of the problems with traditional exploratory factor analysis and the advantages of confirmatory factor analyses are First explored. These are illustrated by brief descriptions of how the author has used confirmatory factory analysis in three cross-cultural investigations. Further discussion looks at possible applications for cross-cultural researchers and considers some of the current problems with this research technique.
