Method and device for transmitting channel state information-reference signal

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and device for transmitting a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS). The method comprises: a first device acquires a first unlicensed carrier; the first device determines a target CSI-RS from pre-configured M groups of CSI-RSs, wherein each group of CSI-RSs among the M groups of CSI-RSs are periodically sent on a time domain, sending periods and/or offsets of different groups of CSI-RSs are different from each other, and M is an integer greater than 1; and the first device sends the target CSI-RS to a second device on a sending start time point of the target CSI-RS according to the unlicensed carrier. According to the method and device for transmitting a CSI-RS provided in the embodiments of the present invention, a CSI-RS can be sent to a reception end device by flexibly selecting a sending position (that is, a sending time point), and great signaling overheads are not required.
