Broadband electromagnetic scattering echo generation and its ISAR imaging simulation

In this paper, the broadband electromagnetic (EM) scattering echo generation and its ISAR imaging simulation is introduced. The dechirped echoes of targets under several motion patterns, including fast-moving and maneuvering targets are generated via the Graphical Electromagnetic Computing (GRECO) technique, then the ISAR images can be obtained with different motion compensation methods and reconstruction algorithms according to their motion patterns. The Physical Optics (PO), Physical Theory of Diffraction (PTD) and the multi-screen display calculation method are applied in the EM simulation. Moreover, the target motion during one pulse duration, a new aspect which is important but usually neglected, is considered in the EM simulation. The relatively satisfactory and convincing results are obtained via the simulation.
