Effect of integrated nutrient management on the residual soil fertility in brinjal-pea-okra cropping system in mollisol

Integrated nutrient supply has been found to be beneficial in improving the yield of several vegetable crops (Narayanamma et al., 2005; Maurya et al., 2008). However, the studies relating to the impact of integrated nutrition on the residual soil fertility are lacking. Most of works reported on the use of organic sources of nutrition are based on the single crop studies, which needs to be extended to the whole cropping system for more practical utility. With this view, the present investigation was undertaken in the brinjal-pea-okra cropping system in which integrated nutritional treatments were applied in brinjal and their effect on the residual soil fertility was monitored after the harvest of all the 3 crops.
