Durability design of passive tag antenna for logistic RFID system

Radio frequency identification (RFID) system is growing with many promising features in technology and applications, especially in the UHF band for its suitability of communication link between a reader and tag. Recently, RFID system sets up for the advanced administration of physical distribution, such as, managing stock, and loading and unloading at warehouse. However, because tag and/or antenna are damaged by vibrations and the outside impulse in the logistic transportation system, tag can't be work or have a correct perception. Therefore, tag antenna must be designed and optimized for materials and locations of objects to be attached. Also the tag antenna with broad bandwidth solved the effect of frequency shift on read range depending on materials to which that is attached. This paper presents the durability design for RFID tag antenna in UHF band. In order to realize strong durability between chip and tag antenna, bonding and housing techniques are considered.
