Reliability Analysis of MANET with RCFP: Reliable Cluster Forming Protocol

The aim of this work is to propose a scalable and reliable Routing Protocol for MANET (Mobile Adhoc NETwork). Reliable Cluster Forming (RCFP) is proposed to achieve reliability in terms of data transmission among the mobile nodes. In RCFP, the nodes are grouped into clusters in which a leader is elected among clusters so that the message is delivered to the desired destination node through CH. It reduces overhead, delay and improves reliability. UGFT (Universal Generating Function Techniques) is applied to determine the link reliability. Simulation result shows that the proposed protocol RCFP outperforms well when compared to the existing protocols.
