Study of the initial stage of aluminium anodization in malonic acid solution

Abstract The initial stage of aluminium anodization in malonic acid solution has been studied. A correlation between (anode potential - time) and (amount of dissolved Al 3+ ions - time) curves were observed. Three regions in these curves have been defined, and new details of aluminium anodic oxide film growth have been discovered.
