Optimal customer decisions in a G/M/c queue

Optimal balking and dynamic channel-selection, jockeying and reneging decisions for a customer who encounters a multiple-channel waiting line are modeled. Determination of reneging probabilities is shown to be a fairly simple adaptation of the single-channel case. An example contrasts decisions of multiple-channel and ''single-service'' systems.
